Our team stays by your side from your first fitting to your final stitch, offering invaluable guidance and support along the way. Today, we are pleased to give you a peek into what happens after you do find the one, because your journey to the perfect dress doesn’t end after you make your selection. Let’s talk about the most important part of bringing your bridal vision into reality: alterations.

At Sareh Nouri, our VIP Alterations Experience starts and ends at our in-house design studio. This means your gown will always be under the careful eyes of our expert team, where we can guarantee that no detail will go unnoticed. The alterations process involves two to three fitting appointments, each of which are scheduled in one-hour blocks on either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Fittings are booked three months prior to the date of your ceremony, with the first of your appointments taking place about two months out.

For your first fitting, we recommend that you bring along any undergarments and accessories that you are considering to wear on your actual wedding day, such as shapewear, corsets, or strapless intimates, as well as jewelry or heels that you want to try on with your gown. During this appointment, your dress will be pinned to best fit your body, allowing your seamstresses to know exactly how much fabric to either take in or let out, and where to create your hem and bustle.

After making these initial alterations, you’ll return to Sareh Nouri for a second fitting to try on your newly tailored gown, which will come home with you right away if it fits absolutely flawlessly. If there is any room left for improvement, we will see you back in our boutique for a third fitting. We often find that silhouette-related adjustments are the full extent of what many brides opt to have done to their gown, — and they are all included in your alterations package! Any additional personal customizations will come with additional costs, but you can trust that almost any of your requests can be accommodated for.
